Description: 4FT SURF FISHING RIGS, 200 LB MONOFILAMENT LEADERS, 4 PACK These bottom rigs are 4 ft in total length and are comprised of 2 sections of 200 lb monofilament with the following components: - 1 ft mono section with 8/0 Mustad circle hook (inline, non-stainless steel, nickel finish) - 3 ft mono section having 8 black beads and a 150 lb. test Rosco snap swivel (grab the leader by the beads when landing a fish; prevent breaking your mainline and cutting your hands on crimp edges) - sections are connected with a 225 lb test brass barrel swivel - the terminal (end) swivel is also 225 lb test; you can tie this swivel directly to your mainline or use a snap swivel connection - 1.5 x 10 mm aluminum crimp sleeves used for all crimp connections (4 total) These leaders are designed to cast and withstand light to moderate surf conditions. Just add a surf weight of your choice (weight not included) to the snap swivel, cast your bait, set your weight, and wait for the hit! Live or cut bait will work well with these rigs, but this design encourages live bait presentation. It is built for passive fishing and is also known as a sliding rig, which works great for feeding bull reds and smaller slot sizes, plus striped bass, mackeral, crevalle jack, and bluefish. This rig will also work for small shark pups. I have been making my own leaders and saltwater fishing since 2007. I hand crimp all my leaders and have never had a crimp fail. I use a Jinkai crimping tool for all aluminum crimp connections. Individual leaders are coiled and packed in 9x9 inch sealable bags before being padded in a 10x10x2 box for shipping.
