Description: This 4pc set of vintage sweetgrass braids, ranging from 18" to 26", is perfect for anyone looking to perform Native American smudging purification (as intended) or simply for anyone that genuinely appreciates the Native American culture. The braids were crafted by elders of the Passamaquoddy Wabanaki Tribe, hailing from Maine in the United States. Each braid is handmade and authentic, ensuring that your smudging ritual will be imbued with the true spirit of the tribe. With these braids, you can pay homage to the Native American culture and traditions while enjoying the benefits of smudging if you so choose. These were handmade sometime between 1940's-1950's and used at tribal ceremonies for decades. They have simply been displayed since the 1990's with some of the most beautiful sweetgrass baskets, as well as a variety of handmade Passamaquoddy jewelry. These braids have history and should continue to be well cared for. They come from a beautiful collection and smoke free home.
