Description: For your consideration: Vintage 1926 & 1928 (signed and dated) Soup Tureen (Japan) and five soup bowls from Epiag Czechoslovakia. This is a rare and unique collection of porcelain soup bowls and tureen. These pieces are hand painted and hand signed and dated. The signature is " V. L. Chambers" and the dates are " 10-12-26" (Tureen) and " 6.7-28" (soup bowls). The tureen in stamped "Japan" with Chambers signature and date. Measures 8" across the octagonal sides x 10.5" between the handles x 4" high. The five soup bowls are stamped "Epiag made in Czechoslovakia" with Chambers signature and date. They measure 4.5" diameter x 6" between the handles x 1.75" high. These were obviously purchased separately in the 1920's and hand painted by Chambers at different times. There is some minor wear to the gold leaf on the handles and lines. There are no chips, cracks, crazing or stains. The pattern is solid.
