It measures 56 inches in woven length, not including the fringe. It is 1 inch wide. The colors blue-brown and chestnut brown highlight plied together into a beautiful tweed look then woven on an inkle loom. It has a wonderful smooth and strong texture to the touch and is not the kind of fiber that will stretch. It was hand woven on an inkle loom. Made in the USA. If you prefer to use it without the fringes for your possibles bag or other things, you just need to sew over the end several times before cutting off the fringes to prevent it from fraying. It is back woven several times to prevent fraying but if you want to sew leather tabs or laces on, it will wear better of you stitch back and forth over the ends for security.
