Description: 6 Vintage Fostoria Argus Ruby Red Sherbet - Ice Cream - Fruit - Cocktail Glasses I purchased these glasses while working at The Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village in 1971, now known as The Henry Ford. During my time there employees were offered the chance to purchase various items from a Reproductions Catalogue that contained merchandise the museum felt consumers might like such as clocks, lamps, pewter, rugs, wallpaper and of course, glassware. All of the items are reproductions of pieces in the museum's collections. Fostoria was given the contract to reproduce the Argus glasses. The ruby colored glasses were made in Moundsville, West Virginia from 1963 to 1982 and it was from there my glasses were made and shipped to me. It is a gold tint that gives the ruby glasses a very distinctive ruby glow. The last photo is the page from the catalogue. These glasses are heavy, EACH ONE weighs 14 ounces. All are in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, flakes.HFM is imprinted on each glass. These glasses have a beautiful orange/yellow glow under black light. This listing is for all 6 glasses. Check my other listings for more Argus Ruby glasses.
