Description: For sale is a used set of 7 Giraud Limoges France dinner plates. On the back, they are stamped "A Giraud & Brousseau Limoges Specifically for Mayhew New York Made in France". Andre Giraud began his work in the 1920s, primarily producing white wares and some decorative pieces. Later, from 1935-67, he partnered with Brousseau in Sauviat-sur-Vige. Mayhew was a furniture store on Madison Ave around the 1940s and 50's (see below for more information) The plates have a diameter of 10.125" and both a rim of gold and a gold emblem are on the front. The emblem is fully preserved in only one of the plates (perfect). One other has an emblem that is about 95% preserved (excellent), 3 more are about 90% preserved (very good), and 2 more are less than that (poor and good). Any questions, please let us know.
