Description: 7 Greetings Antique Postcards. EMB.1 Gold. Flowers, Auto, Cannon. PUBL:Schloss This is a nice selection of GREETINGS postcards that would have been sent for BEST WISHES and FRIENDSHIP. The postcards have the classic look, and are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s. The postcards show purple, white, and red FLOWERS, there is one withe the flowers on a CANNON, and one has red flowers in an old AUTOMOBILE. Two of these have nice "lace" designs. The postcards say "Best Wishes" and they are colorful and attractive. They are all nicely EMBOSSED. These postcards were made by the German publisher Otto Schloss. The publisher, Otto Schloss (1890’s–1920, Berlin), was a large printing and publishing house that was also a paper wholesaler. They produced chromo-lithographic greeting postcards, art reproductions, and comic cards. In 1909, they bought out another greeting card company and became a major player in the antique postcard business during the “Golden Era of Antique Postcards” (1908-1915). This is a nice mixture of antique Best Wishes postcards for the collector. The postcards are detailed and pleasing to look at. These are truly collector items, and would be good to put into a collection. Overall, a nice selection of classic antique postcards at a reasonable price! The postcards are UNPOSTED (2) and POSTED (5) with cancel dates of 1907-011. These were "Printed In Germany" during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915 era). They have DIVIDED backs. These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some of these to have edge wear, smudges, stains, paper toning, cuts and creases because of their age (over 100 years old!). Regarding condition, please note that we try to remove damaged postcards from our lots, and only sell those postcards that are worth having in a collection. Because we do not want you to be disappointed, look closely at the photos we provide to see the postcards and the backs. The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope. We only ship within the USA; we do not sell or ship internationally. USA shipping is with tracking, and we use eBay Standard Envelope mail when the value is under $20 and the weight is under 3 oz; and, we use USPS Ground Advantage when the value is over $20 or the weight is over 3 oz. We combine shipping whenever possible. If you purchase multiple lots, you can wait and we will send you an invoice for the combined shipping before you pay.
