The notion of even completing one 5k seemed far-fetched, inconceivable was the thought of ever dreaming of a marathon finish. The thought of anyone ever referring to me as "a runner" seemed absolutely absurd. With all the twists and turns my life has taken over the past decade from launching the ESPN Triathlon Team (before I ever learned to swim), becoming a race director by launching a running series before I'd ever really mastered the marathon to developing a deep love for all distances from 1 mile to 26.2 & beyond and becoming a full-time fitness author, coach and athlete - running has been a staple in my life.
