Description: Stunning set of 9 Vintage Stuart cut crystal claret wine glasses in the Regent pattern, made in England. Each piece is signed "Stuart England". The pattern features a vertical and criss-cross cut in the bowl with a Bulbous Stem. Made between the years of 1955-1981. They measure 5 1/8" tall X 2 7/8" across at the top with a base measuring 2 1/4" across and are 5.5 ounces. Exceptional condition with no nicks, dings, chips, fleabites, clouding or discoloration. About Stuart Crystal Stuart Crystal produced high end cut crystal beginning in 1827 when eleven year old Frederick Stuart was sent to work at the Redhouse Glassworks on the 'crystal mile', an area just outside Stourbridge England where generations of local craftsmen had already made this the centre of English Glassmaking. It continued its operations until the company was purchased by Waterford in 1995. All of Stuart's patterns were discontinued in 2001 by Waterford. Shipping is FREE in the Continental USA.
