900 lb Steel Cable Shark Surf Rig With 1000 lb Mono Leader

Description: This is a hand made shark rig. It starts with a 20/0 Mustad 39960 circle hook. From that, there is a 8' section of 900 lb stainless cable. The cable is double crimped on both ends and has heat shrink tubing over the crimps so you don't get cut by the wire ends. That is attached to a 9/0 1000 lb Rosco barrel swivel. The swivel is attached to 15' of 1000 lb Lindgram Pitman line. This allows you to have something substantial to grab on to and pull the fish onto the beach quickly so you can get a picture before returning it to the water. The mono has a sliding 275 lb rated snap to attach your weight. Both ends of the mono have a thimble crimped in place so you don't have to worry about crotch breaks. The mono is topped with a Rosco 600 lb swivel to attach to your main line. This setup will allow you to catch many fish or the fish of a lifetime.
