Description: A superb Shelley Art Deco "Swirls" 12201 Regent shape tea trio. C.1933. Pattern No 12201 Swirls: Black, grey, Brown and green swirls on a yellow ground. Yellow ring handle. Entered into pattern book during or after 1933. The back stamp is the 1925-1940 green cartouche mark. The shape of this trio is the Regent shape which was produced between 1930 & 1962. Dimensions: diameter of cup base 45mm (1.75 inches) / diameter across top of cup 88mm (3.5 inches) / height of cup 69mm (2.75 inches) / diameter of saucer 140mm (5.5 inches) / diameter of side plate 178mm (7 inches). Condition: All 3 pieces are in excellent clean condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, scratching, rubbing or signs of wear. All paintwork is in excellent order with no fading to the pattern. All 3 pieces have an excellent "ping" to them when lightly tapped. Any white marks are just reflections in the photographs.
