Released in July, 1980, Back in Black was the first AC/DC album recorded without former lead singer Bon Scott, who died in February of that year. Back in Black was the first album to feature vocalist Brian Johnson, formerly of Geordie. Producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange, who had previously worked with AC/DC on Highway to Hell, was again brought in to produce. The album was recorded at Compass Point Studios in Nassau, Bahamas, and Electric Lady Studios in New York, where the album was also mixed.DIRTY DEEDS DONE DIRT CHEAP 2003 reissue on 180-gram vinyl LP. Aussie fans first heard this album in 1976, but American audiences didn't catch it until it was slightly modified and released in 1981. Hits included the title track "Big Balls", "Problem Child" and "Squealer." The band's early production team of Harry Vanda and George Young helped to craft this hard rock classic. Famed producer Mutt Lange also helped push the band's envelope, and the album peaked at #17 on the Billboard 200 chart. Through the advances in digital technology, the classic was successfully remastered with a greater clarity and intensity in 2003.
