Other points with no priority follow: Frontis portrait lacks tablecloth under bust; Heliotype Printing Co. imprint; p. 155 correctly numbered; correct trade issue straight fly on pg. 283; Title leaf is tipped in, copyright page dated 1884. Pg. 143 has "l" in "Col." missing; No signature mark on p. 161. BAL 3415. See MacDonnell, Kevin "Collecting Mark Twain.") 366 pp. Bound in publisher's pictorial green cloth stamped in black and gilt. Very Good+ with light fraying at corners and spine ends, dulled gilt at spine, and moderate rubbing to extremities. Contemporary owner name on second free endpaper, small hole to tissue guard at frontis, front and rear inner gutters tender. Light soiling to contents with sporadic reading creases. A nice copy of this classic work of American literature.
