Description: THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL VICTORIAN AESTHETIC ERA DOULTON BURSLEM "DAISY CHAIN" FLOW BLUE WASH PITCHER IN AS IS CONDITION FROM THE 1880'S OR 90'S. IT IS MARKED DOULTON BURSLEM AS WELL AS THE PATTERN NAME WHICH IS THE REASON I KNOW IT. IT DISPLAYS EXTREMELY WELL AND TO THE CASUAL OBSERVER WOULD APPEAR TO BE IN PERFECT CONDITION. UPON CLOSE INSPECTION IT WOULD APPEAR THAT AT SOME POINT IN TIME THE BOTTOM HAS FALLEN OUT. PERHAPS THEY POURED HOT WATER IN A COLD PITCHER AND THE RESULTING SHOCK CAUSED THE DAMAGE. FORTUNATELY THE DAMAGE OCCURRED NEAR THE BASE BELOW THE LAST CURVE IN THE PITCHERS DESIGN AND THUS IS NOT READILY APPARENT. WHAT LOSSES THERE ARE ARE QUITE MINIMAL AND SO IT WOULD BE AN EXCELLENT CANDIDATE FOR PROFESSIONAL RESTORATIION. THIS IS PARTICULARLY TRUE IF YOU OWN OTHER PIECES OF THE WASH SET. THANKS FOR LOOKING.
