These beads were machine cut in China from natural color stone mined in Africa, with very nice deep purple color & reasonably good clarity! AB grade stone is slightly foggier than the beautiful A grade stone, with some wispy white inclusions and internal flaws - as a result it sells at a big discount from the costly A grade material, while still being significantly better quality than commercial grade (most of what is for sale on Ebay is commercial grade). You are buying one of the strands shown in the first three pictures, there are approximately 39-40 beads on each 16" strand.
