Description: African Handmade Maasai Seme Warrior Tribal Hunting Knife SwordKnife measures 12 1/2" from end to end. Blade alone is 8". The handle of the knife has a red leather handle. The sheath for the knife is also red leather with a metal tip on the end. Very good condition. No damage. The knife blade is primitive, well made for what it is but has not been smoothed out. But these knives were made to do a job and I don't imagine the knife makers were too concerned with how perfectly smooth the metal part is. Knife sheath has a loop on the back to put it on a belt or rope. From the estate of a woman who served in the Peace Corps in the 1970s. She brought many African items home with her when she completed her service.
