ITEM DESCRIPTION Description An Oil painting on canvas of a boat filled with people in a canal in Venice. The work is painted after a painting by William Logsdail titled "A Venetian Al Fresco". The Painting is in good condition, with subtle craquelure and stretcher lines showing throughout. There is a 1/4" inch area of missing paint in the lower area. It has 5 patches visible from the back, but the painting was well-restored in those areas (as shown). The Gilt frame has some scuffing. The Painting measures 22" x 27". The Frame measures 26 1/4" x 31 1/2". Overall, a beautiful decorative piece, that presents well. The piece was painted, circa 1870 - 1880.
