Description: DESCRIPTION Rare set of two original, one-of-a-kind genga/genga correction pencil drawings used in the creation of the 1988 anime classic, Akira. This remarkable scene features Kei battling Tetsuo and surviving. The drawings are marked with the number C3 and come from Sequence 18, Cut 35. They are in very good condition with minor wrinkles/creases. These hand-drawn genga are detailed with blue, green, and brown highlights, and measure 13.75 inches x 9.25 inches, with an image size of 4 inches x 4.25 inches. They are protected in a fresh polypropylene cel bag for safe shipping. This set includes a Certificate of Authenticity verifying that these drawings were used in the production of the Akira movie. Directed by the legendary Katsuhiro Otomo, Akira remains a pinnacle of cel animation nearly thirty years after its release. It continues to be one of the top-grossing animated movies of all time. The June 2002 issue of Wired Magazine ranks Akira among the top 20 greatest science fiction films of all time, and it is the only animated feature listed alongside iconic films such as Blade Runner and Star Wars.
