All covers fit and function properly with no gaps or inconsistencies. The front cover pops when the crown is depressed. Serial number 599338 dates this pocket watch to 1872. P. S. Bartlett grade, model 1857 key wind, key set movement is very good working condition. The balance wheel has a brisk motion. This pocket watch winds, sets and runs it is currently keeping accurate time. This pocket watch may require cleaning, oiling and adjusting to maintain it as an accurate time piece. It does show some signs of wear and normal patina for a pocket watch that is 149 years old. It has been well preserved and well maintained.
