Description: From the same company that brought you amphora tobacco and Big Ben pipes, the Amphora X-tra pipes were made and support of the tobacco, and often used as rewards for frequent purchases. They are a very quality pipe and are still sought after by pipe smokers years after they have ceased production. This shape is unusual to find. The majority of Amphora pipes that have come into the shop have been much more dainty pickaxe designs. Please look at all the pictures before purchasing. Heritage Pipe Shop specializes in "pipes with a past." Every pipe has lived a unique life and has a story to tell. The wear a pipe has gained in its life is apatina, a story, its own personal history. Therefore, we do not try to return it to "like new" condition. When you buy a pipe from us, you can expect a "refreshed" pipe: The pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, ready to smoke out of the box. The bowl has been reamed, but we leave enough cake so that you do not need to break it in again. Stems have been cleaned and sanitized, and vulcanite stems have been de-oxidized and polished. Stems may have some teeth marks. When needed, stems are replaced (this will be noted in the description). Any repairs made will be noted in the description and/or title. The bowl has been cleaned of previous smoking ("ghosting") using the time-tested saltand alcohol method. Briar pipes have the char removed from the rim (as possible), and the outside of the pipe has been cleaned, treated with a restoration balm, and buffed with carnauba wax.
