Description: Presented is a superb quality 14 karat yellow gold and platinum bar pin made by Taylor & Company of Newark, New Jersey during the first quarter of the 1900s. The pin is done in a classical, filigree form with a wonderful millgrain finish on the top. The pin is made with 14 karat purity yellow gold and the whole top portion is plated with platinum, as you can see in the photographs below. The center is securely set with a transitional cut diamond that sparkles with life and is about 3-4 points. The clasp is marked 14k and has the Taylor & Company hallmark. We have tested the top of the pin with nitric acid and it is guaranteed to be plated with platinum. Everything else is 14k gold. This piece is in mint condition. There are no flaws and no repairs.
