Description: 316 year old flatten gun powder horn. Amazing! The name appears to be Johan, which suggests it is Northern European and most likely German. It is engraved 1707 and has very intricate engravings of a sheep or ram. This flatten style of powder horns were useful and easily carried in a pocket. Beautiful and interesting piece for the collector or for display. It appears to be in good condition for age and use. There is a small crack at bottom where bottom comes to the sides. I did not attempt to remove the stopper in fear of any damage to the item. Please see photos for condition.
