Description: This is an 1834 insurance policy from the Troy Insurance Company of Troy, NY. It was issued to Mr. R. Burt, J. and W.B. Harris of Northumberland. It insured their grist and plaster mill at Fort Miller Falls...the "turning shop" in the basement cannot have fire or light in it. The policy is signed by Nathan Dauchy, President, and John S. Willard, Secretary. It has various wear, including, but not limited to, edge stains. All photos/paper items are shipped in protective plastic with hard boards to prevent damage during shipping.
