Antique 1860 -1861 Historic Portsmouth New Hampshire Directory AMAZING Condition

Description: Very interesting old find. Antique Original 1860-1861 Historic Portsmouth New Hampshire City Book and Directory. This is in truly remarkable condition for age and intended use. As you’ve likely seen, I’ve sold dozens of these and have never seen one nearly as nice and won’t likely ever again. Embossed boards with clear gilt lettering on the spine. Worth the price just for the beautiful printed material throughout. A great tool for maritime, historical and genealogical research. Loads of interesting and important material as well as plenty of fun advertising. Beautifully printed on early paper, this book is truly a work of art. Measures about 6” by about 3.75”. There is the occasional smudge and creased page, but looks more like something from the 1960’s than Civil War period. Shipped first class so it will hopefully get a quicker & more gentle ride. PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING: Almost everything I offer is old and has likely spent time in a basement or garage. If you are sensitive to musty smells please ask me to do a thorough sniff check to avoid hassle of returns!!!!
