Description: Nice antique 1885 illustrated Victorian book, "Idyls of the Months." The book is overall in very good condition with some minor signs of wear and age. It is beautifully illustrated by Mary Lathbury with 12 color plates. The covers have some mild soiling and wear. There are some small sections of minor cracking to the interior hinges, but the binding is good and sound. All of the page edges are gilt. The title page's protective tissue guard is no longer present. The interior is lightly toned from but mostly nice and clean, though there may be the occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection, such as a light bit of foxing, soiling or grubbiness, tiny chip or tear, creased page corner, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 10 3/8 inches by 7 3/8 inches. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
