Description: Up for sale is this lovely 1926 decorative copy of Jules Verne's, "L'archipel en Feu." The book is overall in very good condition with some minor signs of wear and age. The covers only have some light wear with some sunning and dulling to the spine, some mild rubbing to the gilt, and a little bit of edgewear. The binding of the book is good and sound. There is a period inscription to the front pastedown. The top page edge is gold gilt. The book is illustrated by Benette with several black and white in-text illustrations. The interior is toned from age but is generally nice and clean with just the occasional light bit of foxing or grubbiness. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a creased page corner, tiny chip or tear, minor interior crack, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 10 3/4 inches by 7 1/4 inches and is 198 pages long. The text is in French. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
