Description: This listing is for an antique 1927 cast metal plaque that is most likely from the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association in Fairfield, CT and is celebrating their 25th anniversary. We have owned this for many years and at one point it was displayed with the Cincinnati Judaica Fund. This plaque was probably given to a few select donors of the organization. The bottom of the plaque reads "COMPLIMENTS OF HEBREW SICK BENEFIT ASS'N 25TH ANNIVERSARY 1902-1927". The main body of the black pictures the outline of two tablets and lists the 10 Commandments. At the top are the initials "H.S.B.A" and at the top of each tablet is a Star of David. There are a few organizations around the United States and Canada that share this name or a very similar version, but I came across the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery in Fairfield, Connecticut which has a carved stone at its entrance with the year 1902. Every other similarly-named organization had a different founding year than 1902. This metal plaque measures 6 7/8" x 8 15/16" and weighs a little more than one pound. This is in wonderful antique condition. Please see the photos for more detail. Money-back guarantee. I will combine multiple purchases to save on shipping.
