Description: This is an exceptional and well done Antique 19th c. Victorian Old Master Portrait Oil Painting, depicting a well dressed elderly gentleman in high riding boots and flanked by his two dogs. The dog on the left appears to be a black Collie, and the dog on the right is cute brown bulldog, who is perched on a wooden chair. This work was likely commissioned by a wealthy British landowner in the late 1800’s, and would have hung prominently in his home. In my opinion, the subject resembles Russian president Vladimir Putin! Haha. This work appears to be unsigned, but perhaps you recognize the artist or their work? Good condition for 100+ years of age, with light scuffing, edge wear and several very small pinholes which have been professionally repaired and patched at some point in the past (please see photos.)
