Description: Antique 2/4 Min Conversion Attachment w/Cover Edison Standard Phonograph A, B, C Click images to enlarge Description Antique 2/4 Min Conversion Attachment w/Cover for Edison Standard Phonograph A, B, C To convert your Edison Standard Phonograph Models A or B, to play 2 or 4 minutes records, takes just a few simple steps: 1. replace the shaft of the middle gear with a longer shaft that is included 2. replace the mandrel bearing and the smaller gear, with bearing and gear included. 3. replace the head screw that keeps the mandrel bearing in place, with the tiny set screw included. Tighten it all up. The tension of moving the speed shifter could be adjusted by a screw in the back of the casting(pic 13). At the end of this process, your phonograph gearing should look like what you can see in the last 2 pictures (the phonograph is not included). With wear commensurate with age, the conversion kit and the cover are in very good condition, and will serve the purpose for another lifetime. Please review the pictures for details. Best of luck.
