Description: ANTIQUE ADJUSTABLE MONKEY WRENCH by L. Coes Wrench Co. *********************************** ITEM DESCRIPTION: This is another of my grandfathers' antique tools. I discovered it, and packed it away, decades ago and just recently re-discovered it. It's a small adjustable wrench made by the L. Coes Wrench Company. It has a patent date of May 15, 1900. (F.Y.I.: That date refers to the Knife Style handle design.) Although difficult to read one side, of the top jaw, is marked "COES WRENCH CO., WORCESTER, MASS. and the opposite side is marked "L.COES, PATD., MAY 15, 1900, STEEL". I cleaned it up a bit and lubed it. It works very smoothly and looks great! With the jaws closed it measures about 6-3/8" long. The piece is made of steel with wooden, Knife style handle covers. I believe it to be at least 100 years old, possibly older. Fine example, of this beautiful little tool, to use, collect or both! I'd consider the condition to be very good but please use the photos to judge the condition for yourself. **************************** Please Note: Please make sure the Shipping Cost is Acceptable BEFORE You Bid On My Auctions. Unpaid Items will be automatically cancelled after four calendar days. ALSO Please Note: Almost all of the items I offer are different sizes and weights. I'm on the N. East Coast so shipping can vary from relatively reasonable, here on the East, to obscenely expensive as you move Westward or South! There are too many confusing shipping options to offer here so I just use one or two. Please be advised: I may, at my discretion, use something other than those listed. Thanks. bridgeport mafia
