Description: Antique Alphonse Mucha French Art Nouveau Print AVRIL Soleil in an original free SAMPLE of the Cocorico Magazine April 5, 1899 in OK to good condition size of magazine 12” tall x 9 1/4” wide size of print in the outline framing of is: 9 3/4” tall x 7” wide in Ok to Good condition in a Buy it Now or Best offer listing Description PLEASE NOTE: I have listed at this time, at a separate listing, another Alphonse Mucha Art Print listing, a group of 3 * Please also --- VIEW my other listings (click blue link " See Other Items " at top right of this page) magazine is in OK condition * the Mucha print is in OK to Good condition ***This was a free give away. The reason most likely is it has two major printing flaws. on the COCORICO heading page with the Mucha woman & rooster the page has some sort of ink wash flaw that makes the page very dark with some blotching. It doesn’t carry over to the back of the page, which is numbered 54. All of the pages are a toned light tan color. The last numbered page 64 also has that same dark blotching but also doesn’t carry through to the back of page 63 *** not counting both sides of front & back covers, there are 6 leafs but numbered 54 to 64 *** The entire magazine was folded over but not a super tight fold although it has created a bit of a fold line in the AVRIL Soleil print * there is also a bit of creasing in the leg calf area best seen in the photo 12, the equestrian horses La Nolte page * I would think professional matting would correct *** there’s also a touch of two printing lines on the Mucha AVRIL Soleil print page in the top right corner is a small dark stain that carries through to a few pages *** the actual size of the printed area is 6 5/8” tall x 5 1/4” wide * the size of the outlined area is 9 3/4” tall x 7” wide simplified, I took a lot of photos to show that the magazine itself is in OK shape with the goal to show that the Mucha print is in OK to Good shape also & not near the darkened pages.
