Description: Antique / vintage fitted carved stag deer horn antler knife: ~ Marked on the blade - GEO WOSTENHOLM & SON'S - along with some wording below that~ I believe it was made in Sheffield, England and may be the Celebrated IXL Cutlery - as I can faintly make out the IXL below the name~ Measures about 15" long from tip to tip~ 1" wide at the widest points on the blade~ Fantastic soft feeling wear on the handle that only time and use can produce~ I think this may be mid 1800's Civil War Era from what I have read about these knives and the maker Condition notes: In good condition for the age - spotting, wear, patina, etc on the blade as one would expect. The antler handle is sturdy / firmly attached and has a great look to it - there is a small crack n the horn near the handle, but it is stable and may just be original graining to the antler PLEASE NOTE: *All items are stored in my super clean, smoke free home *Remember to ask any questions prior to bidding or buying as I don't offer returns - I normally respond quickly *Shop with confidence as I will always describe/picture items accurately, honestly and ship securely *If you would leave feedback after you receive your order to let me know it arrived safe & sound - I will do the same in return *International orders are shipped via usps international priority mail - I reserve the right to cancel any orders being shipped to an area that cannot be insured and/or tracked to protect us both.
