Description: Antique Art Deco Sterling Silver Chinese Export Carved Malachite Plaque NecklaceDates to the Art Deco era, circa 1920's.Crafted in sterling silver. Not hallmarked but carefully acid tested.Chinese imported hand-carved genuine Malachite and European silver-work make this Art Deco era necklace a grandiose piece. Though I have seen carved jade, carnelian and amethyst, this is the only Malachite piece I have ever been able to offered.There are five oval panels, all carved with floral and foliage design, claw-set into decoratively etched mounts that are spaced with floral links. Finished with an oval link chain and early spring ring clasp.The largest oval measures 1.31" by 1.06", while the smallest measures 1.03" by 0.78". The necklace measures just over 18.25" from end to end, and it weighs a hefty 33.28 grams.Condition is very good, with no damages or repairs noted.
