Description: This listing is for an Antique Bigelow Oriental Rug Carpet with a Persian Medallion Design and a Melonish Red Ground and Floral detail measuring 107 inches by 146 inches overall including fringes. Bigelow Rugs were made with quality wool pile and were resilient to wear and damage. Many Designs were used and woven including Persian Rug Designs. Good Pile throughout with exception of like 5 or 6 knots at the very edge on one side ( see specific image ), weighing about xx lbs. net weight. In excellent as shown condition with the exception of 5 or 6 knots at one side on the outmost red guard border worn which can be easily re-piled / fixed to an invisible and as is , its not really something that even comes to eye , ( see specific image ) , a couple of small rust stains ( see specific images) which has come out for the most part during wash , and will most definitely disappear with future washes, a small about a dollar coin size stain on (back side only )on the warp and weft , none of which are critical and barely noticeable and you have to look for very hard to note. Cotton foundation, Wool Pile . About 2 inches of overcast fringes on the two ends, in excellent condition. It has been soak washed twice by a textile conservator ( 10/2017 ) and is clean enough to touch face with. Will be shipped 3 folded and rolled . Great Centerpiece with a color scheme that would work with just about any setting.
