Description: Greetings military memorabilia and vintage optics collectors ! For your consideration is a pair brass binoculars made in Paris by Lemaire in Paris France . They have a date of 1850 on one eye piece. I’ve seen these described as yachting binoculars and military marine equipment. These binoculars are best described as “Loose” and maybe “crooked” ? They appear to be intact but they don’t work 100% properly . The crank in the center works but it pops out of the hole that keeps it in place. I’m not sure exactly why. One of the wide ends rotates easily and one doesn’t. As such, this item is being SOLD AS IS as a COLLECTORS ITEM ! Someone with some patience might be able to put these together properly and shine them up. There is a pair on another site that is in mint condition and shined up. The price on them is over a thousand dollars. Please look closely at the attached images ! They are an important part of the description and help provide a good idea as to the condition of this item.
