Description: I will be listing a variety of nice Antique and Vintage Items over the next week.________________________________ Here is an ANTIQUE BOUND VOLUME OF 19THC AMERICAN SHEET MUSIC WITH MUSIC DATING FROM c.1800-1840 VINTAGE. There are 68 Total pieces of music in book. Highlights include an 1840 WILLIAM HENRY HARRISON Campaign song "THE NATIONAL WHIG SONG". This 4-page music in good condition. Also, an early "DEATH OF COMMODORE O.H. PERRY" by Oliver Shaw. Published by the author in Providence, RI. Another example in an institution dates this music to c.1818. There is also a c.1820's "THE SOLDIERS GRAVE, MONODY ON THE DEATH OF SIR JOHN MOORE". Also, a nice 1836 illustrated "HERO'S QUICK STEP" with soldiers marching in camp. Another 1833 "THE SHIP IS READY" with a Pendleton lithograph of ship in harbor. There is a very early Boston sheet music "POOR LITTLE GIPSY" undated music, which other collection sites date to c.1800-1809. There is another early c.1820 "MARCH IN RICHARD THE THIRD. WITH THE BUGLE, QUCIK STEP". There is an 1837 first edition of "WOODMAN! SPARE THAT TREE!". Other various c.1820's-30's Governor's and Military Bands Marches and Quick Steps. My photos show some of the better music in the book. There is a c.1830's "HOME! SWEET HOME!". The very first song in book "I COME! I COME!...Dedicated to Her Majesty Queen Victoria" (1838) has old paper tape reinforcement along outer edge of cover. Most pages in good condition with various amounts of spotting on some. The binding is from the Mid-19thC with original owner's name "KATE M. MARCH" stamped in gold on front. The spine is missing the leather. Nice early American sheet music. Will box with care for buyer.
