Description: ANTIQUE WPA CARVED WOOD MINIATURE PINSCHER DOG SIGNED SCULPTURE AAFA c.1935-1943THIS ARTIST SIGNED CARVED WOOD SCULPTURE IN THE FORM OF AN ALERT INTACT OR NON NEUTERED MALE MINIATURE PINSCHER ALSO KNOWN AS A MIN PIN OR MINI PINSCHER. WITH UNCROPPED EARS, THE DOG, HAS A DOCKED/ CROPPED TAIL. THE DOG ALSO DISPLAYS ALL HIS DEW CLAWS. THE SCULPTURE WAS CARVED BY THE ARTIST UNDER THE WORKS PROGRESS ADMINISTRATION ALSO KNOWN AS ( WPA ) WHICH FORMED MAY 6TH 1935 AND DISSOLVED JUNE 30 1943 THE WPA PROVIDED PAID JOBS TO THE UNEMPLOYED DURING THE GREAT DEPRESSION IN THE UNITED STATES. ARTIST SIGNED AND IS CLEARLY SEEN IN PICS # 3 & # 4 THIS CARVING ORIGINATES FROM DENVER, COLORADO. A VERY FINE WELL CARVED HIGHLY DETAILED ANIMAL ART FORM PIECE FROM THE GREAT DEPRESSION ERA.
