Description: This is a lovely 15'' antique doll dressed as a fashionable Victorian lady wearing a fabulous burgundy two piece dress with matching fur hat and muff! This doll actually appears to be a handmade version of the iconic French fashion dolls that were so popular in the late Victorian era, this one likely originates from America.She has a very sweet looking face with a blond mohair wig and beautiful blue glass eyes. Her hands are made of leather and are very frail and damaged but the rest of her body is very simply made of fabric stuffed with straw and wire. One of the wires in fact is poking out of her foot but she wears socks that hide this. Her outfit is lovely and looks very festive in all the burgundy and red colours but it's not original and not nearly as old as the doll. Her hat and muff are made with real fur and the hat is stuck to her head and can't be taken off.She measures around 15''
