Description: Offering a Dayton Model 1700 grocery & meat scale. This one is unique due to its fabulous original condition. Most scales are over-restored. This one has been cleaned and cosmetically restored. The decals are original as well as the paint. All parts move freely and has only been polished as all nickel plating was in excellent condition. Originals like this are hard to find since they were made in the early 1920s. This one is a true survivor. Look at the views carefully. The original beveled mirrors have only slight blemishes but are clear. I would estimate this scale weights 80 lbs so shipping will be an issue; therefore, local pickup is preferred. I have included a page from a Dayton brochure which shows the model 1700. You will note that the one I am selling also has the adjustable mirror so the customer could see the butcher did not have his thumb on the scale.
