Description: Antique German Grain Sack. 127 x 63,5 cm Made from very durable and strong hand spun linen . Great for upholstering and making pillow covers. They can also be used as table runners, carpet, throw or wall hanging. This was hand-woven by farmers from natural hemp and flax. They are marked with beautiful calligraphy. The name, their town, bag number and year were stamped for identification and inventory purposes. The bags have always been repaired and patched for their value, that gives them a glamorous rustic charm. Condition: Please check the pictures&zoom! In as found condition. All the patches and stains are original to the sacks.
