Description: This unusual bronze frame was found in France. It has a unique shape in the form of a shield, with a mat and oval watercolor portrait of a local French child. The back of the frame is in the same shape and is held in place by four stout screws. the frame is rather heavy. It has a hole for hanging as part of the backing. Our framer put the mat and the backing in place to make for a nice piece. The frame can of course also hold a photo. The condition is good with as only defect some tarnish on the upper left hand side of the frame. This can be removed, but it has not been attempted.Measurements are: 11 1/2" tall, 7 7/8" wide and 3/4" thick.
