Elle has a Antique French Fashion kid leather gusseted body. There are gussets at her thighs, knees and elbows. Elle has a sweet Antique German Bisque pink tinted Porcelain Head with a Shoulder Plate and Bisque Porcelain Hands. Elle has Original Mohair Wig, it is a silver blonde colored Wig. Elle uses a Tortoise Shell Comb decorated with a Antique Hibiscus Flower to keep her hair pinned back in a classic French Twist. Elle has dark brown glass sleep eyes with one stroke eye browse. She has painted eye lashes and red dots in the corners of her eyes and red dots that indicate her nostrils. Elle has blush cheeks, red rose bud lips and tiny teeth. Elle has marking on the back of her shoulder plate. The marking’s are partially visible (DEP 1894 ) these indicate her head was made in Germany . This is undoubtedly an “Old Marriage” between the two Antiques, German Head and the French Fashion Body. Elle has a beautiful Antique French Fashion Hat and matching Antique French Fashion clothing. Her hat is made from Silk Taffeta. It has a Tartan Pattern in cream, yellow, orange and green. Embellishments include antique velvet red flower and velvet green leaves. Also included are old cream colored flowers and a antique feather plume. Elle has a lovely matching cream, yellow, mauve brown, red Tartan pattern wool Bustle Skirt. The skirt has a bright red silk belt with a metal buckle. Her belt matches her lovely Red Silk Bodice. The bodice is tailored with a chevron design down the front and stitched in cream with tiny Valenciennes Lace around the chevron design , collar and cuffs. There is also a red silk rosette. This silk is so luxurious and in remarkable shape! There are hook closures on the back of bodice and a Bustle Velvet Bow on back of the bustle skirt. Elle has antique cotton Cluny Lace Bloomers, they have a pocket for a vintage Chantilly Lace Handkerchief. and a pink hibiscus flower embellishment. Elle has a Cotton Cluny Lace Camisole with a pink Hibiscus flower that matches. She has a white cotton Broderie Anglaise Lace Bustle with a rope tie closure. The bustle has a scalloped edge. Elle has a beautiful white cotton Broderie Anglaise Lace Petticoat with a showy diamond point scalloped edge. Her petticoat can be worn to peak out from the bottom of her bustle skirt, so pretty! That is really old for a doll in this good of shape!! Doc joy of The dove Collection did a little seam patching. I did not try to fix the old seam with the black stitches. I try to use non evasive conservative repairs to preserve the Antique and ensure a long life. Elle has dingy areas of the the kid leather, one foot and on her arms. There is yellowing commensurate with age on her body on her bloomers, petticoat and lace. There are small holes and some yellowing on lace. There is a small damaged area on her belt. Her hair is really thin and feels like some hard glue on top. Gigi has that dingy old look. There are teeny tiny holes in the bustle skirt! Elle is a charming beautiful doll she is certainly a show stopper. She will be professionally packed and insured. If I over estimate the cost of insurance and shipping I will refund.
