Description: Offered is this lovely and sweetly wistful Closed Mouth Heubach Pouty Character Doll 6970 with Working Glass Eyes, 14.5 inches, circa 1912. She has plump cheeks, a well-defined chin and a very dear expression. She has a perfect pink-tinted fine bisque socket-head without any damage or restoration and is marked 6970 Germany. She has her original cardboard pate! She has her original blue glass working sleep eyes, with curly painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, a closed mouth with well defined space between lips and a beautiful fine matt complexion with her fabulous antique mohair wig in coiled buns. The body is the original composition wood ball-jointed body and is in excellent condition, well-strung, with much overpaint. The body has retained the original Holtz-Masse stamp with the red wings. All fingers and toes are present and accounted for. She wears her original antique cotton split pantaloons with lace edging, matching cotton slip, a pretty cotton and lace blouse with a black vest, black cotton skirt, ribbed cotton socks and German oil-cloth shoes.
