Antique German Silver Mesh Chainmail Lady’s Chatelain Coin Purse Deco Flapper

New Estate find...a stunning antique German silver coin purse.The body is made from an intricately woven and delicate GERMAN SILVER (not sterling silver) mesh.The base of the purse is accented with 2 silver beads at each corner and features a pretty art nouveau swirling relief design on the silver frame with a kiss lock clasp. It is possible that there was a 3rd silver bead at the center bottom, but it's hard to tell. I'm just making the assumption. There is a small jump ring so the purse can be hung from a chatelaine or sash. There is also a small ring on the reverse side which would enable you to add a cord or chain so that you can wear the coin purse around your neck. I've illustrated this in one of the photos using a black leather cord WHICH IS NOT INCLUDED. The coin purse measures 4" H from the clasp to the bottom. It measures a total of 6" INCLUDING the jump ring at the top. The width is roughly 2 1/4" across the top.
