Description: Authentic, Wooden Trade Sign; Circa 1930s Hand-Painted Black and White Paint Measures 32" x 22.5 Up for your consideration is this rare trade sign. Rare because of the name and the construction. The sign is painted on the front Black & White, the back is grayish color painted like burlap maybe glued to the wood front. All 4 Corners have a angle bracket attached with slotted screws. I believe this was nailed to the building because there is evidence of former holes in the frame. The paint shows age-wear but I don't think this was hung in the weather because it's still in great shape! It measures 32 inches in width, 22.5 inches in height and 1 inch in depth. The back has a 'grayish' look. This sign is from an antique collector. What drew me to this is the irony of the doctor's name and his profession :) - it's a great conversation piece and a wonderful example of Americana folk art. I try to describe all of my items to the best of my ability; all of my items are sold AS-IS. Please take the time to look at all the pictures closely and ASK any questions you might have. The pictures serve as part of the description. I sell antiques - they have a history. Note: I try to have a 24-hour turnaround time if payment is received promptly. Thank you.AAFA = Antique Americana Folk Art
