Description: This tray is simply marked "Made in Japan" on the back lower left corner (see the last photo!!) and based upon the age of the piece, I am guessing it pre-dates WWII!! The hand painted scene is in VERY GOOD condition with very minor wear!! The lacquered finish quite a bit of edge and corner wear that has been touched-up, as well as some evidence of chips, also touched-up!! But overall it still presents very well with those problems only visible upon close inspection!! There are two small holes in the field of the tray (see photos 3, 5, 12 and 13!!), so I believe it was displayed on a wall for a number of years!! Approx. 21.25 X 11.5" X 1" deep in size!! NOTE: Quoted shipping charges are based on the farthest zone from me, so if you live in closer proximity to Greensboro, NC, the cost will go down!! I refund overcharges less a small packing & handling fee, so even if you pay the quoted charge you will not be overcharged!!
