Description: Antique Hand Painted Miniature PIRKENHAMMER Vase, Child Picking Fruit, Germany Click images to enlarge Description ANTIQUE HAND PAINTED VASE Interesting and unusual antique hand painted miniature fine porcelain vase measuring about 3-3/4" tall. Featuring a whimsical design of a young girl clinging to the vase side as she reaches for the pear dangling from branch. Bearing the green crossed hammer mark with a faint M I O for Pirkenhammer, as well as GERMANY, the letter A, and incised number 2465-1, I believe it dates 1920s in era. Condition is lovely with no damage other than an old glue repair at the neck - looks like the head was re-attached at some point in the life of the vase - the glue is yellowed with age, but the repair is extremely difficult to see - I tried to capture in my photos but it was not easy to show.
