The rust patina has been buffed off to expose a dark satin grey finish. I can not find a makers mark on the bit, but it is a quality handcrafted bit. A cute addition to your cowboy collection, and made to last another 100 years!! SIZE: PONY MOUTH SIZE: 4 INCH with a low port that is 1/2" tall by 1 1/2" wide. METAL: IRON (buffed smooth, clean, and ready for display or use) HEIGHT: 6 INCHES (FROM TOP OF BRIDLE RING TO BOTTOM OF REIN RING) MAKER MARK: NONE CONDITION: Very Good, Sound, Sturdy, Vintage Condition. No bends in the shanks. Rings are nice, round, and move freely. No teeth marks or scratches on the mouth. Everything is tight and right on this very old pony bit.
