Description: This is a rare antique three-footed apothecary jar featuring the embossed image of bearded men on each foot. It is beautiful piece by Hobbs, Brockunier with a cut glass stopper. Produced circa 1876 presumably for the American centennial. HB & Co produced pattern glass in Wheeling, WV from 1845 until 1888.The design on the feet is sometimes referred to as the Bearded Prophet, Hobb's Centennial, Old Man Of The Mountain or Viking. Measures about 7.5" tall.
