Description: 8" by 6" by 1.5" deep, china porcelain "vegetable bowl" made by Homer Laughlin in the White Hudson pattern. What is unique is that these were made for the International Order Of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.). Early 1900's I'm assuming*. Good collectible condition - age related crazing to the finish but no chips, cracks or repairs. The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) is a non-political and non-sectarian international fraternal order of Odd Fellowship. It was founded in 1819 by Thomas Wildey in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. *Hudson, a copy of a French Haviland line, was first offered by Homer Laughlin in 1908. Although it was largely discontinued in the late 1920s and no longer listed in the 1929 HLC catalog, Hudson examples can be found with 1929 and 1930 backstamps. Hudson had a production run of over 20 years, the first HLC line to do so. TERMS: Auctions will be combined where possible to save you shipping. Shipping upon receipt of good funds.
